Key Responsibilities:

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Provide comprehensive legal advice and guidance to management and various departments on a range of legal matters, including corporate, commercial, online gambling and compliance issues.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to ensure the company’s interests are protected and legal risks are minimized.
  • Manage and coordinate legal actions involving the company, including litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution, in collaboration with external legal counsel.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide legal insights and support the business operation.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills being able to advocate for and protect business interest and initiatives.
  • Analyze and advise on legal risks and proactively provide strategic solutions and mitigating measures.
  • Develop and maintain standard contractual templates to support the team productivity.
  • Assist other departments and management in interpreting complex legal issues.
  • Ad-hoc legal duties in accordance with business needs and in support of management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution, or proven track record working as a paralegal, in-house lawyer, or within a private practice law firm, preferably with exposure to online gambling.
  • Proven experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various types of agreements focused on commercial, corporate, e-commerce, e-payments, data protection, intellectual property, IT, and general civil law.
  • Proficiency in legal communication, negotiation and research methods.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent command of written and verbal English is essential.
  • Strong ethical standards and professionalism.
  • Ability to identify legal risks and proactive in proposing preventative measures.
  • Self-driven, ability to work independently taking ownership of tasks and projects leading them from inception to completion.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to comply with concurring priorities and deadlines.

Preferred, but not Necessity:

  • Experience with Confluence and Jira.
